Privacy Policy

What StudyListsVault collects, why, who else can see it, and how to opt out. Written in plain English, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.

last updated august 2026·applies to studylistsvault.com·controller: OMR Group LLC

StudyListsVault is a free study-resource site published and operated by OMR Group LLC, which is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. The site sells nothing and has no interest in building a profile of you. It does, however, use third-party services — Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Firebase — and those services do collect data. This page explains exactly what happens, so you can make an informed choice about whether to keep browsing.

01 · WHAT IS COLLECTED

The information this site handles

Information you give directly: none

This site does not ask you for any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no email capture, and no contact forms. There is nothing on StudyListsVault that you can submit, which means the site itself receives no name, no email address, and no personal detail from you at any point.

The one box you can type into is the search field in the site header, and it never transmits anything: it filters the list of topics inside your own browser. What you type there does not leave your device.

Information collected automatically

Like essentially every website, StudyListsVault records standard technical data when you visit. This is handled by Google Analytics and by Firebase Hosting's server logs, and includes:

  • Which pages you viewed, in what order, and how long you stayed
  • Approximate location (usually country or city level, derived from your IP address)
  • Your browser, operating system, device type, and screen size
  • The site or search engine that referred you here

This data is aggregated and used to answer questions like "is the QA roadmap actually useful to people?" It is not used to identify you personally, and because the site holds no email addresses or account records, there is nothing here it could be matched against.

02 · COOKIES & ADVERTISING

Cookies and third-party advertising

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. StudyListsVault uses them in two ways.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. These are statistical, not advertising, cookies.

Advertising cookies

This site displays ads through Google AdSense. Some important consequences of that, stated directly:

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may themselves use cookies.

You are not stuck with this. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices, or block cookies entirely in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not break this site — every study list remains fully readable.

NOTENothing on this site requires an account. You can read every guide, list, and roadmap without signing up, submitting anything, or being logged in — there is no sign-up to skip, because there isn't one at all.

03 · WHO ELSE SEES IT

Third-party services in use

StudyListsVault does not sell or trade your information. Data is processed by these providers, each under its own privacy policy:

This site also links out to hundreds of external resources — universities, documentation sites, GitHub repositories, course platforms. Once you click one of those links you are on someone else's site, governed by their privacy policy, not this one. Those links are editorial recommendations; StudyListsVault earns nothing from them.

04 · YOUR RIGHTS

Your choices and how to exercise them

Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you — including under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK, and the CCPA in California. Because this site holds no database of visitors and collects nothing you submit, there is no account to close and no record here to delete. The data that does exist is the analytics and advertising data described above, held by Google, and you control it directly:

  • Opt out of analytics — install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser.
  • Opt out of personalized ads — use the advertising opt-out links in section 02 above.
  • Block cookies entirely — your browser settings can refuse all cookies from this site. Every study list stays fully readable.

Because these controls sit with Google rather than with this site, they take effect immediately and do not depend on anyone here acting on a request.

Children's privacy

This site is aimed at adults and older students learning technical subjects. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because it provides no way to submit any.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles data changes — a new analytics tool, a different ad provider — this page is updated and the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list for policy changes; the date is the honest signal.

05 · PUBLISHER

Who is responsible for this policy

StudyListsVault is published and operated by OMR Group LLC, which is the data controller for any personal data described above and is responsible for the site's advertising relationships. More about how the site is run and funded is on the about page.
